Wellness

Wellness captures how athletes feel — the subjective side that GPS and gym data can't see. Players complete a quick daily check-in; the dashboard turns those into a squad readiness picture.

Who can use it: the squad dashboard is for coaches and admins; players submit their own check-in in the player app. Wellness is a per-org feature — if it's switched off in Settings, the page and the check-in disappear.

The daily check-in

Each player rates five dimensions on a 1–5 scale, where 5 is always best:

  • Sleep — 5 = slept great
  • Soreness — 5 = no soreness
  • Fatigue — 5 = fully fresh
  • Mood — 5 = great
  • Stress — 5 = very calm

They can add an optional note for the coach. It takes a few seconds, once a day (tapping again updates the same day's entry). See The player app for the player view.

Check-in reminders (player-set)

Players can schedule their own reminder in the player app under Settings → Wellness: pick the days of the week and a time, and a push notification nudges them to check in. It's entirely opt-in — nobody is reminded unless they set it up themselves — and it stays quiet on days the player has already checked in. Reminders arrive as notifications, so the device also needs notifications enabled (same settings screen).

The squad dashboard

The wellness page summarises the last two weeks:

  • Squad readiness today — the average composite readiness, with a coloured band, and the change versus the 7-day mean.
  • Participation — what share of the available squad checked in today.
  • Flagged athletes — players whose recent check-in shows a low score (any single dimension very low, or a low composite). These are your follow-up conversations.
  • Heatmap and trends — a per-athlete grid over the last 14 days and a multi-line trend of the five dimensions, so you can spot a mood slide or a creeping soreness pattern before it becomes an injury.

A blank cell means no check-in that day — it's drawn as hatched, never as a low score, so missing data never looks like a bad day.

How to use it

Glance at readiness and participation each morning, scan the flagged list, and open the trends when something looks off. Wellness pairs naturally with Concerns and Load management: a player who is loaded and reporting poor sleep and high soreness is a clearer signal than either on its own.
